Zero export is a Huawei’s solution that allows the solar power system to only generate power for consumption or charge into the power storage, without transmitting excess power to the national grid, also known as load tracking mode.
To apply zero export function, a power meter connected to smartlogger or inverter by RS485 communication wire is required to provide data about the power flow at the grid connection point. When there is a flow of power from the solar power system to the grid, the system will reduce the output power of the inverter to cut off the excess power.
However, not all power meters on the market are compatible and support zero export for Huawei devices, so customers should pay attention to choosing the following types of meters to be able to apply Huawei solution:
Compatible power meters for SmartLogger to apply zero export:
Manufacturer | Model |
Acrel | PZ96L |
Algodue | UPM209 |
CHNT | DTSU666-H |
Janitza | UMG604/UMG103/UMG104 |
Socomec | COUNTIS E43
(not support imbalance load scenario) |
2-20KTL 1-phase and 3-phase inverters are only compatible with Huawei smart power sensor: Huawei DDSU666-H – DTSU666-H 250A/50mA.
Compatible power meters for 30/36/40KTL-M3 inverter to apply zero export:
Manufacturer | Model |
Huawei | DTSU666-H (250A/50mA) |
Janitza | UMG604/UMG103/UMG104 |
Algodue | UPM209 |
Compatible power meters for 50/60KTL-M0, 100KTL-M1 inverter to apply zero export:
Manufacturer | Model | 50/60KTL-M0 | 100KTL-M1 |
Huawei | DTSU666-H 250/50mA | Supported, system power capacity shall not be higher than 170kW due to the power measurement limit of smart power sensor | |
